Now, admittedly I didn't watch the whole thing. 42 min of a language I don't understand is a bit too much for me. But the "street fencing" scene is just hilarious, and I believe that deserves some kind of award... As to what kind of award, well, I'll let you decide.

I just know this show, it's an 12 ep high soap tv show from HK. I watch it for like 3 times.
It's about how a bunch of high school kids' fencing story and how they found their love through fencing (sorta). It mainly focus on love stories more than fencing though.
The four guys you saw at the beginning of the show are called "The Four Gods of Fencing" in their high school. The show starts off how these four guys rock the high school fencing world and they suddenly disappear before the high school championship. The street fighting is not exactly what you think it is. They are talking about they have to find out who is the best (because they've been always doing team fencing, they dont know who is the best on the team, duh) before the championship and start fighting. then they disappear after the duel.
then the story switched into the current day of that high school and started talking about the new "Four Gods of Fencing".
It's quite amusing story but all the chars suck at fencing, they fence more like theatrically. |

| notice that they dont use foil cords when they fence
disarming your opponent's weapon is legal
rof doesnt exist
they still wear lames, although like it matters(I thought they would have dropped that to save money)
they change the sound track, it uses to be cantonese, now it's like some sort of chinese dialect... |

| Hell yeah.
It's like they've taken my whole life and perfectly reduced it to 45 poorly-dubbed, all-asian minutes.
Genius.

| the original sound is in cantonese, all the actors are from hong kong. They just put a vietnamese(if that's what it is) sound track in it. |

| THIS is my FAVORITE television show! I like how their jackets hardly fit them, too. They are a size too big. Then in this one episode where this guy is practicing in the air at a library it looked pretty silly though. WHAT A WEIRDO!!!
The begining scene is pretty cool actually. Except for the fact that on the last point he keeps going despite being parried. It's like dude, you were parried 5 minutes ago, stop. You don't have ROW. The other guy is a dumbass and doesn't reposte so maybe he deserved it.

| My word that IS brilliant. Who in earth tghought this up? I can't see a similar idea being comissioned on a western TV station. I love the fact that they have been over dubbed into another [equally incomprehensible] foreign language; so it's completely mistifying what is going on. What's with the suck-rock soundtrack!? |
