| Introduction I was trying to find a way to introduce myself as a newbie, and I figure this is as good a way as any
I started fencing in November at school. It's once a week (Thursdays), and I use foil. Just before Christmas I did my Grade One. I'm here basically to become more familiar with the sport, and to try and pick up tips.
My photo *should* be at the following link, but I can only cross my fingers. http://www.writing.com/main/images.php?item_id=532818

| And with a face like yours, you're destined to go far in ANYTHING you do. I believe my exact thought when I saw the picture was, "Oh DAMN."

| Actually, I like the name because of the mythology associated with it. Know the one about the woman who was turned into a swan...? |

| Thank you everyone.
I pronounce my name ee-fa, ues it is Irish, and yes I've heard the mythology about the swans. Really? I guess I do look fairly young in that photo. I'm actually nearly 16. |

| Nice picture Zelda, checking your tip for the next kill? BTW did you ever study at the University of Queensland, if so which years? My wife was there from 1994-1997 studying Occupational Therapy, just wondering if there is a slim chance you two might know each other.

| lol, I made it from 'Just Joined' to 'Member' in about three days... then I discovered I'd replied to just about everything I could. Dear oh dear.
I'm going to start attending lessons twice a week now, Mondays and Thursdays. Technically the mondays are for lower-school students, but I want the extra practise
