Cadence

Reading a write up on a European foil competition recently it was said that the Brits although being of a high standard had little idea of cadence could some one please enlighten me .

success is a journey not a destination !

Well from a drummer's perspective a cadence is a rhythm or beat if you will that marching groups often use to keep pace for marching. In this case it seems as though they are refering to the "Brits" as having inadiquate tempo on the fencing strip. >.>
