Suggestion for Moderators when closing threads

Any time a thread is locked for any reason there should be a post with the moderator's reason(s).

Overall the site has a light hand from the moderators, but a simple explanation -- even a placeholder pointing out that people have been childish and calling each other names (or whatever reason resulted in the "Classic Fencing Lesson Video" thread being closed) -- would be nice. At the very least it helps frame people's understanding of what is and isn't allowed. Absent such explanation and the decisions can start to appear (if not actually become) arbitrary. This would also demonstrate WHICH moderator decided that a given thread was over the line (granted I can see how theoretically this wouldn't be desireable, but I would disagree with such arguments).
