missing the swashbuckling days

I started fencing in '99 but a couple of years later the only fencing club in town broke up due to politics

a few of us would get together every now and then to cross swords but as time went on it became less and less and now most of fencing buddies have moved on to other parts of the globe.

would really love to get back in the program. especially that I'm starting to get soft around the waist from all my wife's wonderful cooking.

I used to handle marketing for a few multinational companies before striing it out on my own as a commercial photographer...

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...ple/050412.jpg

...at least I've been able to find some use for my fencing gear

Hello,

Why is politics mighter than the sword....... ?

Anyway,

I'm sure you'll be looking round the forum yourself pretty soon but as a start you could look in on :
2006 Fencing Photography Competition....It's in the 'Fencing Discussion' Thread.

Maybe they will have a category for your style of 'fencing' photos...
Enjoy the forum.

No, that contest is for amateur photographers, not commercial ones.

Welcome, however; I'm sure there will be lots of other things here to interest you!

Our club has scheduled visits with the local high schools, just as teh new clubs are forming. We encourage the students to start fencing clubs. We do fencing demonstrations and get the kids interested in something besides computer gaming. You might want to try this. My BF started his own club at the university he attended, as well as the city where he lives. He advertised for a coach, and now that club is doing very well, also.
I hope it works for you! And welcome!

I'm going to need a few more examples before I'm convinced that you're a professional.

Are you still in Cebu?

I work in a furniture related industry and travel to Asia often. I had always hoped to get to Cebu, as I had seen that there was a fencing club there.
