| Thanks for asking after me, guys. As for travelogues from DC, they are not nearly as exciting as they were from Iraq. That doesn't mean that the lunacy doesn't carry on apace, though, it just means that I can't really write about it in a public forum.
As for what I have been up to, well, I am back on active duty working for the same folks I was last time, however this time I'm......ready for this?.....Director of Aviation, and Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensor Systems for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology. Fancy title for the guy that is responsible for tracking the acquisition (not procurement, that is different and deals with parts and piddly stuff, aquisition is for systems like helicopters, intelligence gathering stuff, and jammers, etc.) programs in those areas listed.
The job is kind of like flying. Hours of tedium punctuated by moments of pure hysteria! Life is kind of exciting right now because we are trying to get the budget for next year through the Congress. And I have a couple of programs that we are 'working' jointly with other services. Ah, Machiovelli (sp?) would be in utter bliss at the machinations of our elected officials and their professional staffers. A thing of wonderment to behold.
Laura and the cats are now up here in DC and we are living in a 15th floor apartment with just about everything walking distance, including work. Sure is nice living together again.
As I said earlier, thanks for asking after me.

| Mergs,
It's good to hear from you again. I will be going to DC again on June 4-6. I'll at the Watergate (and I plan to bring my wire tap equipment too ) PM me. I was thinking on going to either DCFC or Chevy Chase. Available to fence Epee Sunday or Monday PM.
Thanks,
JEC

| Thanks for the info. I may be available Sunday evening. I know I'm out of town on the 6th, though. PM me and I'll give you my numbers. If we can't get together to fence, maybe we can do a cerveza or three!

Please, when any of you see a soldier, sailor, airman, marine, or coast guardsman in uniform, tell them of your appreciation. It's actually kind of humbling to hear it and know that their sacrifices are known and appreciated.
Hooah.

PM me with your AKO address and we can discuss particulars of the Q model 'hawk in a less open forum.
