So after some independent research, I think Grant would have done better to post the final bout between himself and Brasel but he didn't so I guess he didn't want feedback on that....

Thank you very much for submitting your video for consideration. Although we cannot commit to a full production of your sketch we encourage you to have a look at the above link and consider, in your next effort, the addition of hysterical teenage girls, a crusty and addled coach who communicates by slapping his athletes in the face, and a lazy but loveable scaliwag protagonist with high-rise hair. Don't be afraid of "stealing," for this is television, after all and in a genre where "Hoc Truong Kiem Thuat" is widely considered the standard for hot fencing action. I'm certain that after viewing it you will agree that it captures all the poorly-hidden boredom, adenoidal intensity, narcissistic braying, and befuddled parental pride which best characterizes our sport of princelings.
Yours in fer,
En garde,
Forsoothly,

PS. Think about the hair. Think tall. Hey, what if the Dad character had the same hair as the Boy character? Wouldn't that be a snort? I leave it in your capable hands, Mr. Hadoken!

Hah, I suck man, why would anyone want to see that?
Koreans are wierd. I mean the gaggle os schaladies would be alright. Anything else I'm thinking about saying would get my flamed by Koreans on this board if there are any.

True, in principle. Even more so if you subscribe to the theory that any fencer is only as good as his worst possible day. In that case, I hope you haven't ever finished DFL.
Then again, fencers and games can vary wildly from tournament to tournament (or even bout to bout, given an inexperienced fencer). I can see the "unfairness" argument. Would you particularly appreciate it if someone watched just one bout of yours--in which you were having an off day, in the process of losing, and it wasn't your idea to be taped in the first place--and dismissed you as a scrub or an overinflated rating?
Well, considering that I've reearned my rating nine times (that I can count off the top off my head) over the past 3 seasons, I think I can safely lay claim to my A as earned in full. I am, however, going through a serious slump these days (partially due to nagging injuries), and I haven't been fencing like an A since mid-January. And I would most certainly appreciate if someone could look at a tape of any of my bouts (particularly the losing ones) and tell me what I've been doing wrong.
For the record, if you go over my posts, you'll notice I merely mentioned that, IN MY OPINION, he wasn't fencing like an A THAT DAY. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough for some people. You may also remember (if you actually read those posts) that I mentioned checking out his previous results to see his previous results, so that I could make a more educated assessment of his level of fencing.
(And, for the record, I've been lucky enough never to DFL a tournament. The only time I DFL'd a pool was int he second round of Overland Park last year, and that was a tough pool.)

I'd been wondering what's going on with you. I remember you'd had an injury of some sort, and had to pull out of an event early a while back, but I didn't know it was still bothering you. I've watched some of your recent bouts, including one you lost at the Easter Egg open the other week, and I have to say you looked good, as usual -- not noticeably impaired, which is a good thing. Although your opponent was impressively fast, I thought at first you had the bout well in hand; but then it got away from you. If there were actions you felt you couldn't execute due to injuries, that wouldn't be obvious to me. Or maybe it's just that little loss of spontaneity that comes from uncertainty about your physical condition, throwing off your timing. If that's the case, I'm sure your game will return as the injury recedes into the past.
I don't really feel qualified to give you advice, but if you're just a little bit impaired physically, maybe your recent problems come from failing to adjust your distance and tactics to that. If that's the case, a small adjustment based on what you can expect your body to do "on its own" may be all you need.

I appreciate the concern and the support.
Yes, I did have an injury which forced me to pull out of the second pool in Pittsburgh (grrr, I was winning, too), but that's healed well.
I have, however changed my training regimen, adding more footwork practice to bolster my motion on the strip. This has thrown off my timing just a little, and I'm still trying to find the adjustment necessary to make the close shots hit again. I'm definitely getting there, though.
