What about those Clearly Canadian things they used to sell. It looked like bottled water, but was really just clear soda.

We still get Green Rivers from the soda fountain down in Nappannee. For those of you who don't know, it's Indiana Amish country,

Really, Dame? I'm going to have to seek that one out.

Latenight, Clearly Canadian is still around. It's been around for a while, actually,I remember being a kid riding my bike on the trails...finding a gas station and buying those to rehydrate (along with some sort of candy bar)... man, was I clueless.

Stryder- I haven't been to one recently, but Au Bon Pain carried Orangina about 4-5 years ago. It is still available, I saw it in a local store that sells soda (and soda like things) and pet food (and pet toys, and small pets, etc., etc.) by the case (okay, small pets aren't sold by the case, nor are their toys, but the soda and food are anyway). Yeah, weird combination... Dave's Soda and Pet Food City.... but anyway, I was in there a couple of months ago because I have a car and a friend who wanted to stock up on soda doesn't and they had it there. So it does still exist, which was the point I was trying to make before I started rambling. Hmmmm, maybe Dame's point in the thread about Senior/Vet members of clubs DOES apply to me.... Ack.

Mmmmm, Orangina. I used to buy it at Au Bon Pain when I was living in Washington DC. I also found it in the Au Bon Pain at the Santiago airport in Chile, not that that does you any good...

The trick was to explain to the person behind the counter that you wanted it with the lid left on so you could shake it up. They always wanted to be "helpful" and pre-open it for you (and throw away the cap).

I think the Scarlett pimpernell was BBC. Mr. E. Grant is actually one hell of a fencer.
    I missed Hornblower.
    50 show? The Grimmleys?
The bill is ITV. My friend was in that last year. It was good before they changed it, though.

Yup... used to get it at Au Bon Pain in the Short Hills Mall. I think some of our local supermarkets like Kings still cary it.

We've got Surge in the pop machine at the school where we fence. I only imbibe it under extreme circumstances. The damn stuff doesn't have an off switch on it!

I miss the rootbeer they used to sell in burger king. I'll swap you orangina for rootbeer. fair deal? or some of your really cool cream soda.

    Hey oiuyt,

That was a nice fantasy about that friend of yours....

Dave's Soda and Pet Food City? Yeah, right.... who would open such a weird store?

Next thing you are going to tell me is that he forgot the soda and just left it in your car for three months.

love that active imagination. keep it up.

    Steve,
Forget the Orangina - there's lots of the stuff where I am (you can get it at any burrito shop). What we need in the States is a ready source of McVitees! And not that milk chocolate stuff. You can fly out to the Bahamas for that. Gimmee some dark chocolate McVittees and I'll follow you anywhere. Well, maybe not. I probably wouldn't be able to get through doorways anymore.
