    Go Canes!

woohoo 3-2 now and I bet they'll pull out the 4th win in the next game. Ward was amazing tonight.

I don't think that 3-2 is a very good record for women's sabre, compared to some of the other results they've been attaining. I mean, I'm glad they won, but it's hardly newsworthy.

Shouldn't this belong in the Fencing Discussion section?

well they pulled it out! gg to the canadians, that last game was a nail biter. Ward was awsome again and they'll probably stick with him with NJ next. I hope we can pull off another cup apperance this year.

i'm just going to take a guess that mr.biggs is joking, don't really know what referance he's making to saber comps. so its a little lost on me.

I guess the gulf coast better hunker down again, hurricane season seems to be starting a little early this year.

And that would be the Canadiens, not the Canadians (which would encompass everyone in Canada and not just those in Quebec).

And with Flame out last night, I only have the Slicks and Brutus left to cheer for.

Well, ok. I suppose I can sacrifice to help promote a real sport south of the border (besides fencing that is). But if the Sens beat the Sabres, I'm reverting.

This series was a tough one for me. I grew up a Habs fan prior to the NHL expansion. But since I live in S. Carolina, when the Canes came to the area I became a fan of them as well. Reguardless, I hoped that whoever won the series went all the way. I really do feel Carolina has better personel than Montreal (especially with Koivu out) so they now have my full support.

yeah that was quite fun to watch. Dont expect we'll see another one like that though. That was very un characteristic of New Jesey and especially Brodeur. Great to see him get shelled though!

Who are the 'canes you are thinking about? The ones I know are the rugby team The Hurricanes that I support who will make it to the semis next week! Yay!

No fair. I never check the Water Cooler, so I didn't even realize this thread existed (or I would have been tormenting you for over a week by now).

LaViolette's game of musical Goaltenders won't win you The Cup! I really had no personal ill-will for the 'Canes until you got Recchi, now it's easy.
