It depends, i would be willing to drive to nashville on occasion, but between a new wife, work, and 82 ford nashville would be to far for regular practice. I was hoping for something around the clarksville area. Your profile says that you teach dance. What kind of dance
There is a foil based club in Nashville, but they usually fence dry. However, very nice group of people. The other club is Nashville Fencing Academy, my club. We are primarily epee.
In Kentucky there is a very strong club at the Louisville Fencing Center. There are also quite a few other clubs there. As for the Clarksville area, that is one of the dead spots of fencing in Tennessee. If you want foil, I'd say our strongest club is at Baylor School in Chattanooga and Epee' would be NFA in Nashville. There are a bunch of other clubs in the state, mostly in Knoxville/Oakridge and Memphis, but it really does depend on what you're looking for in a club.

In all honesty i started fencing at a community college in Arizona, they only had a beginners class for the first year and a half of my fencing there. So i just kept taking the class over. We had Wednesday night fencing for the more dedicated. The last 2 semesters had like a 202 class. Then every other semester we had a tournament at the community college. The other semesters we had a tournament with the ASU class. The tournaments were all dry fencing foil. Hell i guess you could call me the redneck fencer. i never fenced in a club and i don't even know how the rating system works or how one gets rated. At this point i would be thrilled just to watch on occasion.
