| Crrraaazzzy News! Well, it looks like I'll be hanging up my foil for a while. At least 9 MONTHS. Why? I'm approximately 6 weeks pregnant. Found out today. Michigan fencers, you'll see me around. I'll probably try to help out at a couple Schoolcraft tourneys.
The baby should be due around April 28th. My birthday is May 2nd, so that will make for an interesting birthday present!

| Joel,
Because I took the initial test on Thursday, & knew the approximate results (never seen a pregnancy test change colors SO fast), I thought it better not to risk it by fencing. I wasn't feeling well at all on Saturday, but I did go to cheer on the club. I plan on being at SC, & helping Doug if he needs it.
Thanks for the well wishes gang. I already have a sabre fencer, my 4 year old son. He's got quite a cut!
In other news, last time I was borderline diabetic, so they checked my blood sugar this morning. It was a 77, after some yogurt. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it STAYS low.

| Congrats, Moon! You know they've figured out what causes that. It's something in the air............feet!
Seriously, as for hanging up the fencing, except for bouting (and the attendant increasingly larger target area!), there shouldn't be any reason why you should stop, unless the doctor says absolutely to.
We'll all pray for a healthy baby, whatever gender it is.
