Array "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -

Array I also feel people should find mine. It's like a treasure hunt, only without the treasure, or the hunt. I suppose really it's like looking for a mentally challenged kid on a short bus... -

Can we set up a club on myspace or something like that, where we could all go? Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

Array Oh, and if you do find my myspace and want to friend me, send me a message telling me who you are. I don't friend people unless I know who they are, as it cuts down on the creepy stalkers. -

Array I figured if we had somewhere on myspace it would make finding each other easier than everyone having to post there myspace names here. It was just a thought. Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

If you knew what I did, you wouldn't have a MySpace profile at all. While the vast vast majority of people are there out of benign reasons, you have to understand that MySpace and a few other sites which I won't name here are in every sense of the word, a collecting point and playground for true deviants and pervs. I am not talking about the average teenage boy with poor judgement, bright prospects and a hard-on; I mean it is a magnet for the criminal evil kind of people you read about, but assume you will never have to deal with.
The timing of this post could not be more apt. I have been writing software and managing teams of developers for twenty years. This past month has been difficult at work; late evenings and an entirely new challenge. I spent last evening with local law enforcement, state child protective services, and the FBI. For reasons that I hope are obvious, I cannot go into any meaningful detail.
But I will leave you with these thoughts:
- Information that used to take weeks or months to develop, for those of a criminal intent, can now be had virtually for "free."
- I have a team of about 30 software engineers working for me, mostly twenty-somethings who take pride in being more-or-less of avante guard leanings -- not one has a MySpace profile (anymore).
- Of internet enabled computers that exist within the confines of certain corrections facilities, hits to MySpace now exceed hits to all porn sites combined. If you have a MySpace profile, my suggestion is to delete it -- run, don't walk.

Array In my school myspace has become the ultimate breeding ground for drama. People update new pictures once a week and every monday there is a variable floods of personal comments at school and online regarding them. people post updates about how they hate this person, knowing full well that the person they hate or the friends of those people read their posts regularly. they do this because they are too damn chicken **** to say anything to their face.
everywhere I look are people working on getting through the school system's web filter because they can't wait to get home and see all of the great comments that have been left on their pictures in the last five minutes. Whats worse is that many of the people I know are "in love" with some boy or girl from new jersey or california and where planning on going out to see them in complete trust.
Fetlan is right. it is a variable breeding ground for those that you should not trust. the people who you've been told about your whole life. Remember the "don't get in a car with a stranger" talk? why is it that no one seems to listen once it comes to the internet.
someone needs to kill Tom... and if no one else is willing... = P I dont think I'm using that webcam right... Similar Threads -
