Array For Dancers: Durning a weekend that included two late night blues dances and two early morning tournaments, I was dreaming of both. I woke up to ask my wife, also a fencer and dancer, "can you pommel a follow?" I figure you can because I use a pistol grip in both sports. My wife only responded, "why would you want to?"
Any thoughts? Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

Array Thank you for that lovely dose of surrealism. Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array You think that is bad, you should have seen the dream. Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

Pommelling is a Group 2 offense, but might barely be justified if they were a really bad follower. -

Array describe to me this pommelling of a pistol grip...
...and the pistol-grip equipment you use when dancing. Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

No, no... only my political views are surreal. I am an earthy realist when it comes to dancing. Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array My previous dance partner, in ballroom Argentine Tango, and Latin Dances
is also in my club, fences competitively as another lefty saberist. That's pretty surreal for me. He mixes metaphors a lot. We no longer dance , his GF got jealous. Bummer. "The warrior-meditator's job involves clarifying and subduing one's own misunderstandings. It means overcoming fear."

Array She would if she knew I was there. He just doesn't tell her, and she doesn't like fencing-or dancing. Kind of a veggie. I'm no threat anyway, I'm seeing a great(fencer)guy. Array There is only one rule to follow (I'm glad my wife agrees). Dancing is dancing. Fencing is fencing. And life is life. As long as I come home with her...what happens on the dance floor stays on the dance floor...and it goes both ways. Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

Array Of course, the tango is hardly the official dance of the World Association of Celibates...
