    Get your brittneys around this!

This thread is just to post stuff about new music.
What do you think of a new album?
Is it worth all that money?

Everyone's got thier own musical taste. This topic isn't genre specific.

    I'll start.

    Fear Factory's Digimortal.
Fantastic album. Best metal album of the year? At least until Machine Heads' come's out.
Check out 'Linchpin' that's an awesome song.

I reccommend you get your ears in some cans and check it out.

    Your turn.

    Steve.
    I'll shut up now.

I WANT the soundtrack for Original Sin. Saw that flick this weekend. Not sure how it got only a R rating.

Steve, you know who is my favorite "Classic" rocker....

An awesome soundtrack (I'm a HUGE movie soundtrack & showtune fan) is A Knight's Tale. Two Queen songs, Low Rider (Low-ri-dah), Taking Care of Business, David Bowie...it ROCKS!

Sorry, Dame. I'll never be able to guess! lol

    The Matrix soundtrack album's good.
    Marilyn Manson, Rock is dead.
    Some clubby stuff,
    Rammstein, Du Hast,
    Rage against the machine,
    Ministry,
    Monster Magnet,
Rob Zombie, (it is a butchered version, though)

    It's pretty good.

    Steve.

    two Queen Songs, Moon?
I've only heard We will Rock You on the trailers. I assume We are the Champions is the other one? Bowie is great too.

Yes, We Are the Champions is the second Queen song. The lead vocals are done by a Robbie somebody, re-released after Freddy's death.

Steve, I didn’t like Digimortal, I felt that it was a step back for Fear Factory rather something new. Demanufacture is still their definitive album. I feel it’s a shame that they haven’t managed to progress further as they are one of the best touring bands you will see.

I also felt that Tool’s latest offering wasn’t as good as the hype. It was good but… it lacked something. Can’t quite say what but just didn’t have the appeal of their earlier stuff (particularly Aenima – if you haven’t heard this album you are missing one of THE best albums ever!).

OK enough griping. Top Tunes hmmm… [rubs chin]

Well. One of my favourite albums Angel Dust by Faith No More. They were fab’ and probably my favourite band (and sorely missed).

If you like movie soundtracks then check out The Lost Highway. It’s one of the best Soundtracks I’ve heard. Don’t bother with Blade apart form a couple of tracks it’s dire.

    GAV,
I have got to agree with demanufacture being the definitive FF. Faith No More rocked bigtime. I bought 'Who cares a lot?' greatest hits, and there's some really good stuff on there, including tracks I hadn't heard in donkeys'! Midlife Crisis. aaah. Did you not think that Ashes To Ashes was reminiscent of Def Leppard's Guitar style, coupled with David Bowie's Singing?

Are you coming down to London in the forseeable? I reckon we could get quite serverely pi**ed, and debate/converse on this for hours! lol

Unfortunately all my plans for visiting London are shelved at the mo'. I'm going down to Bristol in 2 weeks for the Open - are you entering that? I'll only be showing for the Epee but me and a couple of the guys are bound be there the night before.

Buy Angel Dust. I guarentee you won't be disapointed.

Def Leppard. AAARRRGGGHHH, I can't believe I liked them when I was 12.

    Not going to the Open.

What tracks are on Angel Dust? Def Leppard are brilliant! (not). lol

I wasn't so keen on them even when I was 12.

Give me Slayer anyday! (new album... Any good?)

Dunno if the new slayer album is any good I don't have it. BTW check out a band called Aghast View (the album I have is Carcinopest)if you like Fear Factory. They are heavy guitar based Industrial - if can't get a listen at it download a couple of Mp3s.

Tracks on Angel Dust in no particular order...

Midlife Crisis, RV, Small Victory, Jizzlober, Be Agressive, Easy (later editions), Crack Hitler, Caffeine, Midnight Cowboy, Land of Sunshine, Kindergarten, Everything's Ruined, Malpractice.

There isn't a duff track on the whole album.

I Disappear - Metallica. I like that one. The legendary Black Album is good too. Oh and Last Resort (Papa Roach). There are many other tracks and artists I like, but I never bothered to learn the names. I'm off to listen to X fm.

    xfm Rocks, but only mostly.

I listened to Ian Campfield's Rock show on friday, whilst watching some surreal stuff on telly called The Kingdom about a hospital. It's all in dutch, with subtitles, so Slipknot went quite well with it, Whilst smoking a herbal roll up.

    I could recommend it.

I've been meaning to watch the Kingdom - just never got round to it. Just watched the Kerrang awards on TV. Christ! The modern metal scene sucks (IMHO). It seems to lack the diversity it used to have. SO i'm just settling down with some old (I think I'm an aging rocker - I'm only 25!!!) albums. AHHHH. That's better White Zombie Astro Creep 2000. I'm chilled now so I can forget about Linkin Bloody Park! Stupid boy band! I think the only decent boy band I ever listen to is the Sex Pistols, top tunes, top attitude!

Another recommendation whilst I'm hogging the phoneline - XCNN: XCNN. A bit obscure. Noone seems to have heard of them but they were popular for a while when I was in my mid teens (wen they were known as CNN). Fab album.

Oh yeah, before anyone asks why I didn't just change the channel - Tobey Torres!

Hmm...what channel's The Kingdom on then? I don't agree with the herbal roll-up idea, but each to their own I guess.

I was going to watch the Kerrang Awards, but I went to that Radio 1 thing instead. That wasn't really up to much either, but it was somewhere to go. Victoria Beckham got at least as many boos as cheers, which was quite entertaining (serves her right for miming). That and some guy stood in the crowd near us who was pretending he had an extremely contagious skin rash. Wasn't all that great on the whole.
