Array Getting a Colored Lame Hey all,
Here's my set of questions.
Are solid color lames legal?
If so, does anyone know where I can acquire an orange lame?
Finally, failing that, is it possible to dye a lame?
Please refrain from making fun of my color choice in your replies, unless you actually have information for me, in which case I'd just be to proud of you to care.
Thanks -

Array Solid color lames should be legal, except for black. Dunno where you can get an orange one, however, and I don't know of any dying process that wouldn't interfere with the resistance (though I know very little/nothing of dying processes, either).
Good luck ^^ -

Good luck ^^ As I understand it, most dying is perfectly fine for the lame, since the dye will not stick to the metal, but only the fabric underneath. Should be safe to dye it, and then just wipe off any additional residue that may be lingering on the metal. -

Array Solid colour lames are widely available from just about every manufacturer you care to name. Try Allstar for starters. "First, second, third, dead f***in' last." - Greg Glassman -

Good luck ^^ Actually, right now unless it was light, it would not be legal for a USFA NAC or Nationals as the USFA has not incorporated the new FIE rule. They are still 'Light or White'. Now considering what everyone has seen at NAC's with the Dark Blue, Red, Rainbow, Black/Silver, it would probably not be questioned.
As an aside, the new rule was pushed by RR and there is a growing inquiry of what he was thinking. For example Dark Blue is now legas at FIE events and the lettering on the back of the jacket must be Dark Blue. I and others seem to think that may be a problem and was not thought out.
