| Shuttle Alright, I'm flying to Denver. I'll be taking this shuttle: http://www.coloradoshuttle.com/ which shows discounts of 10% for 2 riders and 3 or more are to call for pricing. So if we can round up a group and times the shuttle becomes a bit more economical. I get in around noon on the 27th and leave at 10am on the 13th.

| Denver to Colo Springs Instead of taking a shuttle, consider renting a car in Denver and dropping it off in Colo Springs. There will be a drop off fee as you are not returning it to the original rental location. This would be less expensive than taking a shuttle if you have a couple of people sharing in the expense of the rental car. |

| I'm JetBlue-ing it into Denver. Arriving at 3pm on Jul 17th, and leaving at 10am on Aug 13th.
If those times work for anybody else, we should talk about either going in on group rates for the shuttle or renting a car. (Looks like about $100 for a larger car, so that becomes more economical than a shuttle once you get 3 people.)

| Your return flight out at 10 am matches up with mine (10:33am). Keep me on the list for splitting a car/group shuttle.

| Up until recently, I haven't really flown a whole lot, and when I have, it has been Southwest. Since Southwest doesn't fly to Col. Springs, I have been looking for at other airlines.
The prices, even on the same flights, vary greatly when you look at Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, Cheaptickets, Yahoo, and from the airline itself. Is there something I should be wary of when buying through any of these services? Are the lower prices on Cheaptickets.com, Orbitz, etc. too good to be true? Has anyone had any bad (or good) experiences with any of these folks?

| I've used Orbitz and Travelocity several times without incident. They do charge a small extra fee, but the fares can be cheaper than the airlines' themselves even taking the fees into account.
Even cheaper fares are to be had on opaque sites like Priceline and Hotwire, but there are other caeats involved with using those, especially if you must travel on specific dates at specific times...

| All the sites mentioned are perfectly reputable and work fine, as far as I know. I've only used Travelocity, but I know other people who use Orbitz and Expedia and they all mention no problems. |

| Does anyone know what sort of internet connection is available? I am trying to decide whether or not to bring my laptop (since the USFA handed out the manuals on CD's). Thanks |

| Wi-fi is available in the athlete center. Also, there are computers in the athlete center that are available for your use. |

| In addition to the above-mentioned access, last year several classmates found they could also pick up the Wi-Fi access from certain spots in the dorm, including the 'study room' so odds are you'll be in good shape.

| That probably is highly dependent on how good your laptop is at wifi range. My model is notoriously poor, for example. |

| You could always replace the wifi card and/or antenna, or get an external card...

| If anyone is interested, I am selling my black Uhlmann Coach's Mask. It has seen VERY LIGHT use. It is the wrong size, so I just went ahead and bought a different one. I originally used to do lessons with my white-bibbed mask, until I discovered that the dark color rubs off of the black coaching pads. If you do not have a black mask for coaching, it is nice to have.
Anyway, it is model 10842 in black, size 2 (Large), and sells new at Absolute for $125 (on their website, it is listed as #71017). I will let it go for $80 + shipping, or best offer. PM me if interested.
Again, the mask is in great shape. The bib isn't even creased yet, and the mesh is almost pristine. I will post pictures later if I get the chance.

| Here are pics of that mask I'm selling, if anyone is interested. I tried to make them as clear as possible, but I'm not a great photographer. As you can see, it is very, very close to new condition. There are 1-2 tiny scratches on the mesh, and a slight discoloration on the chin pad and the elastic strap. That's it. | Question: is there any value in bringing electric equipment to CC? I don't want to be stuck without my lame in the event that weapons get busted out, but don't really want to pack it all if it will just sit, unused, in my bag.

However, the Pentahaletes were there training and some of us did go over there and fence them, and the electric stuff came in handy. Also, there was a chunk of time where the armorers needed us to bring them our broken stuff so that they could practice fixing it. That was pretty sweet. But if you're looking to save space/weight, just bring dry.
Last year they sent a packing list. I assume you'll get one this year (different for coaches and armorers) if you haven't gotten one already.
