Vendors at Sacramento NAC Does anybody know if any vendors/name printers will be open on Thursday? -

Array The Fencing Post will probably be there. They can print a name quite quickly (and it doesn't take 2 hours to dry or so). But the tkrivosh could be a tongue twister and they might make a mistake on the spelling. -
Marx got my name right at Reno, and that's probably on the upper bound of issues they'll face. -

When you have three Romulan Warbirds blocking the escape route, Worf has an emotional breakdown about his childhood toy, Riker announces he's gay, Data's positronic brain gets a virus, and Geordi quits because he's had just one too many imminent warp core breach.... Just sit back, breathe, and follow these simple steps: -
Real name, which offers many more opportunities for mistake. -

Array yeah, they'll definately be the Marx guys and if they managed to both spell and pronounce my name (one thing that I have never had a ref be able to do at first), then they should be fine. There will also be a lot of the usual vendors there. -

Marx typically don't open until the first morning but several of the other vendors set up early the day before and are gone, sometimes by 8 PM the night before. They might be a better bet than Marx for the special problem of needing a name for the first event on the first day. My advice is to try to get to the venue by 6 PM on Thursday. Or check with Marx when they will be available. It might be best to send your jacket/Lame to Marx before the event. They could perhaps carry it to Sacramento and deliver it the first morning. Whoopee! My avatar is back. -
Ehh, you might want to make friends with a nice blue sharpie until after the event. I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.

You could try a washable blue marker. Just don't sweat too much. That would probably get you through the event. I have been to events where they used washable, non-permanent stamp pads for equipment control. A month later, who knew you had been there. Whoopee! My avatar is back. -
Well I actually meant that they should use the sharpie and then get the lame stenciled after the event. If careful you can get the stencil to completely cover the sharpie. I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.

Thanks for all the suggestions, since the new lame is also travelling at this point to Sacramento, the blue sharpie is probably the best answer. -

Array Much depends on how many other people need the same thing done. I had a lamé stencilled by Marx at Reno, and it took him all of 15 minutes. Similar Threads -
