The Georgia Games Championships are here!

Great fencing and a free T-Shirt – you just can’t beat that for a weekend! Don’t miss this excellent pre-Nationals warm up for individual and team events.
Additionally, Triplette ( www.triplette.com ) will be vending at the games. This may be your last chance to purchase all that stuff you need to replace before Nationals!

This year fencing will be open to all Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee fencers.

Date: June 9, 10 & 11, 2006

Site: Kennesaw State University Convocation Center

Events: Foil, Epee, Sabre; Men's Open, Women's Open, Mixed Y10, Y12, Y14, U-17, U-20, Mixed Teams

Every participant will receive a Georgia Games T-shirt.

Entry Deadline: May 30, 2006

New for 2006: By participating in the 2006 Georgia State Games, individuals and teams are eligible to compete in the 2006 Southeast Sports Festival. All participants are eligible regardless of their placement at the Georgia State Games event. To register go to www.SoutheastSportsFestival.org Teams & Athletes from AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN & WV have been invited and are expected to attend.

Ok, Sc and TN are allow but what about the rest of us in the SE?

There are 34 states I believe that have state games. I don't know where you are...

I have contacted our State Games Commission and they are looking into where NC can fence. I hope with us - we would love to have you here!! I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

We are looking forward to a fun event with great directors, grounded strips for epee, a raised stage/strip for finals and two vendors for your pre-Nationals equipment needs. Additionally, all entrants receive a Georgia Games T-Shirt and qualify for the Southeast Sports Festival ( http://www.southeastsportsfestival.org ) no matter where you place.

Just found out that since the following states do not have fencing (this year) in their state games, all can partisipate in the Georgia Games: South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.
