Yes! I like this new format, it means I don't have to sift through all those silly games!
-
No! I hate this new format! It means I have to open two windows/tabs now!

Array The New Format: The Poll I was just curious what people think of the new format?
EDIT: Also the issue of what is and is not a game seems awfully ambiguous. How is it a discussion on people's appearance (granted there's the idea of repping people who post pictures) count. If it counts as a game cause of the repping involved then the Epeeist Only thread definitely needs to be shuffled off to the games thread, since it is almost nothing but a vehicle for rep farming.

Array There needs to be an I don't care choice...
Whatever is easiest for Craig and Gav, it really doesn't matter. Whatever doesn't kill you, is gonna leave a scar...

Array I don't read watercooler, so I just tossed the front page threads that looked like games (by their post and read counts) into the "games" folder. -

Array I like it and I think it makes a lot of sense. We're starting to see (fencing related) watercooler type stuff in the main fencing discussion now because this forum has become saturated.
Maybe I'll start reading this forum again! Don't let 'em drop it. Don'tlet'emdropit. Stop it... bebop it.

Array OK, after some use....
I like the new way better. Whatever doesn't kill you, is gonna leave a scar...

Array there should definately be an "I dont care" choice or, to put it more politely, an "I am impartial" choice. But you can't edit it so I voted for I like it better anyway. -

Array I go to posts from the New Posts page anyway, so this has no impact whatsoever. I would much rather prefer 'Ignore this thread' function. -

Array Silly epeeist, there already IS one! It's called "Don't click on it". -

I would prefer them not to appear there at all - one click and I don't have to ignore that thread ever again. That would reduce the average size of my once-a-day New Posts check by half. -

Craig got their first. If you feel any of the other thread need to be moved then let me or Craig know and we'll move them.
I also believe that these sorts of threads shouldn't count towards your post count (a la fencingforum's chit chat section). -

Is that your take on the game threads or on the water cooler in general? Array I'm inclined to agree. Especially since most of them are one word/one sentence posts. RebelFencer's Awesome Quote of the Week:

Array Actually, aside from the Word Association, almost all of the Game Thread's posts consist of more than just one word or sentence. In fact even the Word Association often consists of more than one word. Similar Threads -
