I think so, but then I've never seen any of these people fence, know how tired they are, or any of the other useful information that would make this an informed decision. |

| 2 potential gold medals in the same day... Arianna Errigo against Emily Cross... again. Samele against Boiko... it looks like the gold medal bouts won't be easy for anyone. |

We don't allow for much competition experience against "normal-sized" people for our Y10/Y12's any more (not that we ever did, depending on your definition of "allow").

| Well, if they make Y12 points, they can fence Y14, and they are "normal sized" often enough... |

| Not to mention if they make the Cadet points list, they can fence Juniors, and that's practically the same thing as Seniors/Div I over here. For that matter, in WS make the Y14 points list and you can fence Becca Ward, Caroline Vloka (half the Junior team) etc in the Cadet events. |

| One thing that is bothering me about the Official Web Site is they are going backwards in their updates. With Ms. Cross being the US 4th Gold, they only show 3. Also, the results for today are up there, but if I want what happened in previous days, this fencing forum is the only place to go. They now have only who was entered on previous days, not the results.

This looks like the results to me. Cadet WE, Courtney Hurley 1st, etc. It doesn't show the tableu, score, and so forth, but you at least get the results. |

That worked for me earlier | Thank you for finding that. In looking at that and the medal count, it appears that they don't know that the Gold Medal bout for the Cadet Men's Epee ever happened. The USA is missing a Gold medal and ITA is missing a Silver Medal. Both should have a total medal count of 7.
Thank you again.

| I think those are the Junior Women's Foil medals that are missing. At least, the US won a Gold and Italy a Silver there. |

| There's a very pretty picture on the front page of the WC website, showing the last 6 events and their winners. Quite nice to see 4 US flags there.
Also, a positive this: All 3 US WS fencers are in different quadrents, so they won't meet each other until a medal comes into play, at worst. |

| All the US women made the 8, which is very nice, Vloka 15-14, Wozniak 15-12, Ward 15-13.
Over on FencingForum, people are asking why the US has such better younger international results than GBR. It's an interesting question, and I really think the NACs have something to do with it. |

| Vloka and Ward won, Wozniak lost 15-12.
Two more medals, none for Italy.

Vloka lost to Bujdoso 15-12 earning a Bronze medal for USA, while Becca Ward got into the Gold medal bout beating DIATCHENK by score of 15-5.
