Dumb Question time...

If this was asked and I missed sorry for the double post but.........

Why do any of the events need to be done away with?

Is there a GOOD reason the Olympics can't have them all?

Also, why not move fencing to the winter Olympics? Sounds dumb? They have fewer events and would have more room for more events. I know it's not on snow or ice but it does happen indoors. Just a thought.

Because the IOC has repeatedly said that they will not allow more than 10 fencing events.
