Yesterday I was watching TV, and I saw a little thing for a new show called smallville. In the little preview, there was...dundundun...FENCING! a guy was fencing epee, threw the weapon, and the point stuck into the wall! So maybe we'll have a little more (if not unrealistic) fencing on TV!

As I recall someone posted a link to the trailer a while back - some guy chucked an epee and got it to stick in the wall. I'm pretty sure the show was called smallville. I wish I could watch it. Maybe it will be on UK cable in a few years.

Not sure...but I'd guess either Fox or WB.

It's supposed to be a prequel to the Superman stories, set in Clark Kent's hometown of Smallville (Kansas, I think). Just think "Superheros 90210"

The guy who stuck the epee into the wall is Lex Luthor.

Anyway if it is a Superman thing then chances are it will be on one of the BBC's UK channels after you guys have seen it, but it will probably be called something different. (They called Lois and Clark "The New Adventures of Superman"). Someone will have to report on whether it is worth watching, and how much fencing is in it.

Huh..didn't see that part of the preview. I think it'll be on the WB/UPN network. Can you imagine Superman fencing? He would be almost unbeatable. hehe...
