Short answer: yes.
Long answer: ask your coach. I'm very skeptical about some people's idea of improving their own fencing by asking some simple, decontestualized questions in a forum, especially if they are beginners who can't immediately benefit from some written advice. Now, I understand that when I first started fencing, I couldn't really understand most of the things I understand now. You should focus on understanding your fencing style and working actively with your coach. I mean, now if my coach tells me during a bout "double feint, disengage, fleche", I understand what he's saying, and I can pull it off, but a year ago my first reaction would have been something like: "wtf?"
If beginners come to me asking for advice, my answer is usually something like: "Stick your point in your opponent. Doesn't happen? Figure out why. Can't figure out why? Ask coach."

My favorite invititations (next to social) are low line invitations. I feel I can make parries quicker parrying in the downward direction. You can get a little closer to your opponrent with your invite in a low line. I think it still takes a lot of repetition and a little bit of strength to do this efficiently and cancel out the momentum that can bring your point into the floor. It is also wise with any invitation, to have at least one "secondary" parry programed into you hand. Your trap (invitation) can easilt become their trap with something as simple as a disengage.
