Stiff Glove Anyone have any ideas: After I have a good practice, get hot and sweaty, my glove becomes very soft, and easier to use. Then, I pack-up and put it along with my other stuff in my locker, and the next practice, my glove has turned into one of those Rodin sculptures of a hand in some bizarre, contorted shape. And it's stiff as my dead Aunt Minnie.
What to do? How do I pack up my wet glove after practice so that it doesn't go rigamortis on me next time I use it? JsPierre

Array ummm.. try washing it.... That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again. -
If its leather you could try using some dubbing to keep it supple Wanting to escape from the lab. -
I agree with OSO... time to wash your crunchy glove...
I'm sure your club mates will appreciate it.

Array Remove the salt from your sweat. That's what makes your glove stiff and crusty.
Just avoid salt in all its forms. Take it out of your diet completely. No salt on french fries, popcorn, peanuts, etc. Buy only salt-free foods. Maybe you could get ahold of that salt-sucking alien from old school Star Trek?

Array Yeah... a big hint for me is when my pup goes to steal it, to stops dead in his tracks and slowly backs away... Considering dogs think rolling in dead stuff is cologne, I take this as a indication it’s time to give the old glove a bath. Wow! Thanks. Vy embarassed. Had no idea I was a walking Dead Sea salt works. Feeling like I belong on Spong Bob, or at least my glove. I'll hv to get the food tongs and drop it in a clear evidence bag and wisk it home for a bath. Feeling vy sheepish.
By the way, what's "dubbing"? Is that what they do for kung-fu movies?
And on the medical side of the question, if I do sweat buckets of salt (*yuck*), shouldn't I be scarfing the stuff down in my food so I don't dry out like my glove and go all stiff (before I sleep the big sleep...and pls keep this post clean....a pun)? JsPierre

The "eliminate salt" post was a joke. -

Many of us prefer the washable gloves as they have less problems and easier to care for. Beer, it's whats for dinner! ~ a young snowboarding Canadian The meek don't want it! ~ sticker on a rock band's guitar -
