At least I overcame my instinct to lunge and hit on the elevator button in the hall with the umbrella tip ....

lol!! guilty as charged on EVERY SINGLE ONE.. actually i do pencils, pens, brooms, anything remotely resembling a weapon.. and you can't forget footwork in the shower or in the change rooms when trying on clothing in stores.

Better than when I was doing taekwondo and I would tend to kick out...

EDIT: I used to spend most weekends over at a friend's house and his guest bed was pressed against the wall... I used to always jam my toes into the wall when I would kick. I've also kicked my way off of several couches- now instead of sleeping on couches I just make pallets on the floor.
