I'd like to think the Dems would take the DeLay and Reps to town for corruption, but I doubt they would. They've done very little as of late, and I see no sign of that changing...

The Dems won't do squat because they've lost whatever power base they had.

They used to be able to count on the black and urban vote, which they won by positioning themselves as champions of social action and the party of the "little guy."

Unfortunately, the "little guys" have all been Born Again, and are now solidly in the Republican camp--or as I like to call it, the "Free Terry Shiavo" camp. Now instead of trying to help themselves and others by supporting economic and/or social reform they're all just contentedly sitting around waiting for the End Times to Rapture them out of this mess.

I wonder what our own FNet Poll would find, here at the early eve of the mid-term elections! I'd like to look back at our discussions and results two years ago and see the changing perspective.

And speaking of two years back... around election time, 2004... how many of us remember the discussions on the phone jamming at New Hampshire's Democratic Headquarters? Seems the Reps are fessing up... in criminal court!!
Records show phone jammer-White House link

and as to our fellows on the Christian Right...
Christian Coalition shrinks as debt grows

You know... I just don't know what the Republican's will be holding on to... come 2006 elections and certainly by 2008. Unless of course they unzi...
