I am trying to start a fencing club at my high school. I'm trying to apply for a grant for some of the equipment. What do you think would be the basic equipment all clubs should have? Also later I will need to find a coach, any ideas on how to get a decent one?
As a bare minimum you will need some masks, plastrons, jackets and dry foils (or other weapons) to get started. DO NOT skimp on the safety equipment since just one injury will probably get your club shut down.
