That hardly sounds like a Catholic prophesy.

| Velisarios is right. It is a very Catholic prophecy. (St. Malachy foretold it)

It's ok you don't like me. Young men are often threatened by older women-I think it's an American cultural thing. I haven't seen it elsewhere much, and I travel a lot.
I'm old, and I see things very differently from you. As a Hindu-born, we can go to any church or no church, we have free will. My father and his family are Islamics, they live in Pakistan, and I can't go see them. Not that any of this is that interesting. Which is why I sent you a PM instead of cluttering up the board. A lot of people know me from NACs. I help people who are injured. I practice Yoga so we can all warm up before competitions. I have to be an authentic person all the time. Can't afford to be a troll. I have nothing but love for Islam, and Hindustani and they don't conflict in my family's lives.
Even so- I feel very at home in the mosque, in the women's worship room. I taught at an Islamic school for over a year. It was a good experience. Though teaching doesn't pay well in the states.
I wish the best for you- and hope -and you will probably be grinding your teeth as you read this-doing the angsty thing like all young men do.
Someday-I wish you happiness and peace.
Well, snipe away. If it brings you-anything you want.
Best of Luck Fencing,
Jas | If you want to lie or change your religion then go ahead. Don't bother me. I don't care who you are or how old you are. I have no interest in muslim or hindu drama nor am I interested in stupid indian contortionism. Go advertise yourself elsewhere. Anytime you pm me I will post it so don't pm me. |

What is quoted on that website is not what St. Malachy foretold. They have grossly mis-edited it.
The actual prophecy is: In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End
or in Latin: In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur, & Judex tremêdus judicabit populum suum. Finis.
as compared to what was posted on that hack site: This final Pope will likely be Satan, taking the form of a man named Peter who will gain a worldwide allegiance and adoration. He will be the final antichrist which prophecy students have long foretold. If it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived.
Did you really think that a Saint of the Catholic Church would write a prophecy that stated the last Pope would be Satan? Doesn't that strike you as odd -- I mean, even if you are not Catholic, logic would dictate that something was in error with that statement. Combined with the fact that there are some belief systems that are profoundly anti-Catholic, one should not read such websites as being the Gospel.

| ahh, ok. Sorry for misunderstanding you. Yeah, that was the website I found that you didn't have to search through mounds of stuff to find essentially what I wanted to show. Laziness on my part.

You obviously know nothing of The End Times. To even think of invoking logic in application to prophecies and premonitions calls into question God's Plan for the Elect and the sequence of Dire Catastrophes that Must Befall before we are all Transported Into Glory.
Besides, everyone knows that the Pope is/will be the Anti-Christ. Duh.

| I'm saying you're all off.
the final pope won't be satan. the antichrist will come first. he will come in the name of peace, but will soon control the world. the antichrist will sign a treaty of peace with israel, begining the 7 year tribulation. the antichrist will be recoginzed by many signs (all in the Bible) but will be human until he is killed. after 3 days, he will be satan incarnate, and the possesed body will 'rise' from the dead.
the pope will not be satan. he may be an evil person, but satan incarnate will be the antichrist, a seperate person who will rule the earth.
before all of this, however, jesus will rapture his church. this hasn't happened. but before it does, as RebelFencer said, repent. if you are saved before then, you will not have to endure the 7 year tribulation. you will be rescued from the earth and taken to heaven during the rapture. Quote: |

| this doesn't say the pope and antichrist are one person. in fact, they cannot be the same person according to this. the antichrist is satan (aka lucifer) not peter.
reading the series 'left behind' by tim lahaye can give a good idea of what the end times will be like according to the prophecies. obviously its a fiction series because they haven't happened yet, but it's all based on fact in the Bible.

The number of theologians that disagree with his interpretation of prophecy and the school of Millenialism that has since grown up around it are legion.
I no more believe in the End Times, the Rapture, the Tribulation, or any of the rest of this cooked-up nonsense than I believe that the moon is made of green cheese.

Revelation was written for early Christians being persecuted by Rome. The symbology wasn't lost on 3rd century peasants, but today otherwise reasonable people seem to have created yet another denomination.
Believe what you will of course, but I don't see Revelation as anything other than a message of hope during persecution and trying times.

| its your soul, but the Bible should be taken seriously, and was written for all of humanity, not just the ' 3rd century peasants'. the other prophecies have come true so far, I wouldn't risk anything by blowing off the Bible. the books are one interperitation of the prophecies, but they are one very probable future in terms of the end times. |
