I'm not really into yelling myself. But whenever I see an opponent berate him or her self after I get a touch or they miss an easy touch, it gives me a boost of confidence.

I'm thinking, "Yeah, keep getting mad at yourself. Get frustrated and sloppy." I realize that sometimes people are just trying to boost their own confidence by giving themselves encouragement, but sometimes they're clearly getting angry at themselves. Just a random thought ...

I'm amazed Tai Mai Shu hasn't posted here yet, well that's her post not mine to do. Any way my team has a few yells before the match starts we yell "Stringete tuum gladium!" yes folks that Latin and it means "Draw your sword!" Since our team is mostly lefty we yell "Lefties kick *** !" and we each have our own battle cry mine is "My name is Lita Kino and you have ticked me off!"

It just rids you of a lot of stress. You feel as if you just "exhaled" after keeping your breath in for a while.

p.s. I usually live off honey and tea for a few days after tournaments cause I loose my voice.

During a Dual Meet that we held like 3 weeks ago.
There was an epeeist, like 40 or 50 years old that would always fleche, and make a screaming sound like "AAAAABBAALAALAAALAAALAAALAAARAAA", You know, have you ever played mortal kombat?
The guy sound like raiden when we would throw himself to hit you. LoL
If you have played it, you'll know what i mean.
It was pretty funny.

For epee I tend to say "Ha ha, look at that! MY light is on. Go figure?"
