Racing Club de France I know that there are a few French fencers on the board, so I'm asking for your help. I am currently visiting Paris for most of the week (with a quick trip to London Tuesday-Thursday) and would like to stop by the Racing Club de France, but of course I didn't bring my stuff (walking, metros, and my friend's small apartment do not mix well with a heavy bag).
Does anybody here know their policies regarding visitors (is it allowed/fees/do they have equipment available to use/rent)? I would also like to know when competitive epee fencing takes place if I would be welcome (before entering college I competed extensively making a 64 and a 32 in some WCs).
Thanks for your help! -

Array Visitors are allowed, but you have to have a member invite you in, in advance. I would, but I am not a member of the RCF. The policy is about the same as for NYAC I believe.
But you will need to have your equipment: I don't think they lend any, at least not to adults. Perhaps you can find someone who can lend you something.
Competitive epee takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays, I believe, and you will be welcome to fence with the group. However you will not be able to receive lessons.
There are other strong epee clubs in Paris where you don't need invitation, PM me if you need more info. - Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)
- To not recognize the power of the French grip is to be in denial
