Interesting registration/event fees. Somebody have a thing for having to make lots of change or something? :)

| I agree, oiuyt. Those numbers are completely senseless. No one gives a d4mn about a buck or two here. People just don't want to carry a bunch of $1s all day (especially the host organizers, who, I guarantee, will be short of singles twenty minutes after check-in opens).
I'm surprised they didn't offer prices at $11.95 for registration, $9.79 for first event, $6.34 for second and $4.83 for third.
We seasoned tournament organizers know better: Charge $20 for registration, $20 for first event, $20 for second event, and $20 for third event. At the end of the day, you either have checks in multiples of $20 or you have a handful of Jacksons. Then, you can immediately compare revenue with entry sizes to make sure no one skimmed cash off the top. Then, slip four or five of those babies to the referees and everyone's happy.

| Does your budget allow for a hard-core East Coast referee?
Aside from the usual USFA national events (NACs, JOs, Nationals), I also keep my calendar filled throughout the year for any and all available reffing gigs (200+ days a year). So I'm well experienced to meet your refereeing needs.
I'm always looking to expand my service area, particularly for the local and regional events. Last week I reffed in Colorado Springs after Reno, and I'm taking an early morning flight tomorrow to San Jose where I'll be reffing within an hour of landing.
While it might be costly to transport me from East Coast, most of my clients have seen me do double or triple workload of a typical referee (except in national events where we are not allowed to do that), and I'm very much customer service oriented referee.
I'm also very flexible when it comes to other expenses. You could put me in a 5-star hotel like in some divisions, or put me up with a dorm party and let me crash at a random suite couch. It makes no difference to me. In case of the latter, all I ask is that you hook me up with a crowd that respects computers and beer.

They booked the flight for me less than 2 wks ago. I just looked up a flight to LA for the Okawa weekend on Orbitz.com .... There's a flight that costs less than what I'm flying tomorrow. So maybe it's not TOO far fetched?

| Greetings Mauler and oiuyt,
If they are willing to pay your travel costs, You can use the extra bedroom at my place, bonus I will drive to and from aswell, if they want to pay for both of you well J can use the coach I guess They have already roped me into reffing. Hope to see you there.

Next year, that is---it's a little short notice this time around, and I already have plans that weekend. In any case I'd like to be able to check that I'm not travelling for a sabre event consisting of 8 E's and U's or something... |

| Greetings Inquartata,
Sabre should be a B2 perhaps an A2 if we can coax an A from SD. We are getting strong sabre events in SoCal again. Quote: |

| Hah, I didn't come up with the registration fees... I guess most people don't like it? I'm broke as a college student tho, so I actually think it's kinda cool.
I'll talk to the guy who made the website to see if he can put up a list of people who have pre-registered.
