Training Overseas

I am interested in training overseas. Can anyone tell me where is the best place to go for foil in the world? Also how much does it cost to train and live at Tauber in Germany!

Thanks!

That's great, but you may want to include ALL the following information.

1. Where you are now

2. Your age

2a. Your sex

3. Level of fencing

4. What weapon you fence

5. Resources you have available

I might say a bit more... I am already overseas training. I am in italy.

I was just wondering where everyone thought is the best location at the moment for fencing at a elite level and also if you did go training overseas what would you want? The best coach? The best centre? Where the world champion fences? Location? Costs? What is more important?

I am interested in what people think so please feel free to answer and answer in full! I mean everyone answer from olympic level to person whom has just finished their first month at their local club!

Thanks!

What weapon and gender matters very much. For example, if you're doing Women's Sabre, going to Oregon Fencer's Alliance may be the best place in the world. If you're in Men's Foil? It's definately not. So, what do you want to train in?

So, you're already in Italy, and you fence foil.

You're already in the right country, at least.

How long have you been fencing? Having elite coaches is never a bad thing, but until you're an elite fencer, you won't be getting the most out of them.
