| Which weapon(s) do you fence? Which weapon or weapons do you fence (i.e. use regularly with a non-n00bish level of skill)? This poll will reveal the demographic, but the thread here also serves for you to argue why you chose your weapon(s).
EDIT: I could've had three options and the multiple selection thing enabled, but this way, each vote is one person, not one weapon.

| describe non-noobish level... (i voted for foil and epee and am definately not a noob at foil but in terms of epee i have only fenced it in a couple of nationals for fun, not to make the finals like foil; im good enough at epee though so i voted for it, i dont think it will make a difference, do you?) ok now I am just rattling no and on so I am going to stop. |

| Wow, one of the few times I've seen the proper accents on epee outside of the rulebook.

| I only fence Sabre, but that's only because that's all I've been taught =P
I'd like to learn all three weapons eventually, but I have a feeling it may take me a while getting used to the whole poking thing... so much easier to just whap people |

| I have been fencing for 10 years now. 2 years at the begining on foil. Then moved onto sabre and did epee once a year at a single tournament. When i got to uni i started to fence all 3, must say that when i first arrived i hardly lost at foil, never at sabre and rarely at epee. But now im in my 3rd year a lot more foilists and eppeists have arrived at the club and i am having a lot more difficulty in fencing these weapons.
However i still feel that i am competent in both foil and epee. Though now that new timings have been brought out i rely a lot more on stophits with a pommel in foil (as i am a sbreur my footwork is a lot quicker and my distance is a lot better than your average foilist) since i can no longer flick anywhere i want :'( .
Still i can hold my own against a lot of fencers over here in Britain

| I have yet to compete. Though I fence foil for the most part, some epee. Only dry saber, since my club lacks the fundage for good saber gear. As for competency, I'd have to say my strength lies in foil. Been fencing for about two years now.
