Joining the USFA

I've hear that in order to join the USFA there's an about 40 dollar fee. Is this true? Anything else I should know about it?

Yes, there is a $40 fee for a one-year membership.
Just a couple questions, do you fence at a club? Are there any other club members who are USFA members? Do you have a coach/teacher who is training you or others for competition?

Yep, I have a coach. There are tournaments here on Tuesday nights that are official tournaments that I'd like to be in on, but I need to join the USFA first.
