TS is "touches scored"....the combined total of all the touches you scored in a pool.

Indicator is your total touches scored minus your total touches received. This can be a positive or negative number, and is used for seeding purposes.

Hope that helps!

Welcome to fencing!

No problem, man. TS equals touches scored (or tough s***) in a pool. Your indicator is your touches scored minus your touches recieved, or the touches scored against you. So, if I fenced 5 bouts in a pool and won the first three 5-1, 5-2 and 5-3, then lost the last two 2-5 and 3-5, I would have 20 TS, 16 TR and therefore an indicator of +4.

Indicator is used to break a tie after the pools in a tournament if two people have the same number of victories (which happens quite often, of course) and touches scored is used to break ties in indicators.

Indicator is the calculation of your total Touches Scored (TS) minus Touches Received (TR) in the course of the pool.

RIT is spot on. You can also check the Operations Manual at the USFA site (www.usfencing.org).

What he meant is that you have spots on you. A rare spotted penguin. Or else it's the pox.

The Epee pox? I don't think he's on me. Regardless, it's STILL the nicest thing anyone's ever said about me.
