| Sherraine MacKay!!!
Sherraine MacKay just won the World Cup (well....yesterday...) in Epee. Canada's own is now ranked #1 in the world. I believe the CBC reported she has won this competition for the 3rd time in a row. Methinks this is wonderful news for Canada, as we arn't known for our fencing prowess like many of the European nations, or even the US and Cuba!
So....there ya go. Beat that!

Here is the link to the CBC's report. Sadly, this superstar gets a footnote in the sports section, and the "status quo" in Hockey, etc. still gets the headlines. | Okay, so.....Switzerland didn't get anywhere with the female team members (I haven't even checked the ranking of Tauber), Sonja Tol didn't finish up all that bad (the Dutch, ey? I mean, after all......).
But yes, I mean, these Canadian results are stunning. Something to be proud of, definitely.
