How to not make a flawed poll

Because so many (basically all) polls are said to be flawed somehow, I thought I might invite you all (especially those of you who like to call polls flawed...) to post ways to a)Recognize a flawed poll (PLEASE don't say "every poll is flawed"), and b)How to make a poll that is not flawed.

The floor is open. Discuss.
