Again, both have been "considered". "Considered" does not translate to "anticipated". I understand that ridiculing the analogy is easier than actually choosing accurate wording for your accusations, but, oh no, wait, it isn't. Get a dictionary. Use it.

If there was an armada of alien space ships sitting outside Earth's atmosphere for no reason at all,
Ah, ah, ah! It's MY analogy, not yours. You don't get to change it to suit your own purposes. Make your own if you like, but take mine as I offered it or leave it alone.

Conservatives are spinning, spinning, and spinning, but I don't hear them making much sense.
It's because you've got your fingers in your ears while you say "LA LA LA!" very loudly.

Almost forgot the "lie by all definitions" bit. A promise is a promise, so:

    lie

    1. A false statement deliberately presented as being true; a falsehood.
    2. Something meant to deceive or give a wrong impression.
    3. The manner or position in which something is situated.
    4. A haunt or hiding place of an animal.
    5. Sports: The position of a golf ball that has come to a stop.

    Heh.

This isn't my "portrayal"-- it is what is being reported by the Associated Press. Read the report. Watch the videotape. These are the facts. No spin, just the facts. It's all right there for everybody to see.

It's not that difficult to understand: if Bush makes a statement that he personally knows is untrue at the time he made it, it's a lie.
    You forgot #3.

    3. The President was being told by the governer of LA that the levees were holding fine.....3hrs after they had let go. (We can roll the video on this one if you care)
