Array Our New Home You may remember a thread way back in October in which I lamented the loss of our clubs Salle....
Anyway. I'm happy to report that we have a new place.
Our fearless leader, Mike, has convinced the local "Y" to add a fencing class.
Wonderful space, great location, 2 nights a week, and the "Y" advertises the classes in the local print media. We had more newbies than fencers in Kit the first week. I can hardly wait for next Monday to come around.
Just think. New, fresh potential fencers, every eight weeks. It boggles the mind.
Enough of my ravings, it's just that we have the only salle between Milwaukee and Chicago, and I'm really geeked that we fill the 50 mlie gap between Lake Forest Club in Illinois and Caliburn
im Milwaukee. Those two clubs are way above our caliber, but we all have to start somewhere.
The core group of 6 to 8 people just would not let Fencing die in Kenosha, and we will continue to promote the sport whenever we can. (Maybe even more importantly, we needed a place where we could fence and not drive an hour each way.) LAZY -

Array Oh Yes, one more thing.
To Neevel and the fencers at Caliburn.
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and for allowing us to come up and fence with you at Caliburn when we lost our salle.
Great Club, wonderful people, thanks again.
Sincerely
Kieth, Bernie, and Ron. The Kenosha guys. Similar Threads -
