Array Events for the RMSC What should we track for the RMSC? -
I didn't answer the poll (don't ask a lawyer for a yes or no answer), but I really think you should have separate mens and womens events - preferably at the same tournament. One, a lot of the girls I see taking up fencing are still a bit "shy" about hitting and then some of the boys don't fence them at their usual standard (I am talking about pre-teens mostly). Letting the girls fence each other seems to change the situation.
Two, even at my age, I am results oriented and while it is some consolation to tell myself that I was beaten by a college guy, it also means I don't have much of a chance making it even to the top 8 -
Personally separate events are just more fun. Since so many fencers have someone else in the family who fences, the events should be scheduled for the same tournament if you want to increase numbers. -

So you suggest mandating the events that are on the RMSC to only have seperated events as opposed to mixed events? -

Array I voted "other."
I may participate in one or two events that are part of the RMS circuit, but not BECAUSE they are RMS events. Rather, I may participate because they are relatively close by. As such, I am not going to affect the poll since how the RMS circuit is organized is apparantly important to some.

Array The way it's currently set up, if a tournament is on the list then you get points at any event at that tournament wether one event is hgh level or not.
We looked and the overall of the event not individual tournaments.
The system will be 100% re-vamped next season I'm sure and it'll be official as this one was just a run through. Similar Threads -
