The USFA has published a list of confirmed entries, as of 06/07/06 at 11:59pm. There might be a few more added, as today is the late registration deadline. A copy of the list is attached.

That will almost certain wait until after the end of today, as the organizers are already looking at some severely loaded days, and too many late registrations in any one event could throw off a plan. So I would guess sometime early next week.

    Still Searching for Hotel?

I just want to fill people in on a pretty good deal I got when picking a hotel for my Atlanta stay using Hotwire.com. As you probably know already, at Hotwire.com you take chances when you book as you don't really know which hotel you will be getting until AFTER you agree on the price and book it... I chose a downtown, 3.5 star hotel costing $64 a night. It turned out to be the Hyatt Regency on Peachtree (near the Westin) and about a half mile from the venue. From the airport, I can take the subway/train to the Peachtree Center Station MARTA stop and walk to the hotel from there. After taxes and fees my Hotwire pick came out to be $75 a night... So, if you still are searching for a place to stay and see the 3.5 star downtown Atlanta hotel listed on Hotwire, know that it might just turn out to be the Hyatt.

Thanks for the list. It being truly impossible to get a working USFA website, whatever anyone could post around here for us all is very appreciated.

How about the actual times of events? Anyone has it?
For those like us who come from the other side of the country, timing is a plus as we try to avoid that extra costly hotel night
The airlines won't wait for us to increase their rates.

    Thanks

It's also posted on the website -- which is where I've read it. "truly impossible" or not. :eyeroll:

Have people gotten their packets with confirmation materials in the mail?

I'm basically set, since I've seen that I'm listed as a confirmed entry in the events I'm supposed to be in, but I can't help but be a bit antsy about getting the packet... just to be completely squared away, I guess.

    Yes.

As a matter of fact, I got two. I'm not entirely sure what that means. It's not like they misspelled my name for a weapon or something because the packets are identical...

    I just got mine in.

I received mine on Monday. They may not have gotten to the letter O yet...

Does anyone know how easy it is to walk from the Omni to the venue? Will MARTA be helpful at all, or is it much easier to just take a hike?

Don't take Marta. Go to the north tower of the Omni, go to level M2, and walk out the west door about 50 yards to the GWCC bldg A, enter there, and walk to bldg B in air conditioned comfort.

I assume you know who I am. I'd be happy to fence you, in a friendly bout, if you'd like. Just introduce yourself when I'm not obviously fencing already.
