| 2001 World Championship Tapes (and the 2000 Olympic Tapes as well) Ok, in previous years, I requested that you pay me up front, then after I get enough orders, I made the duplications and then mailed them out to you.
Since I've done this for the past four years (since 1997), I've gotten a pretty good feel for the number of orders. What I will do is go ahead on my own to make duplicates of 25 copies of each 2001 World Championships tape. So that'll be about $600 out of my pocket at first (not including the postage/handling and packaging). Shipping charges via US mail has always averaged between $2.95 to $5.95 depending on the size of the box (i.e., number of tapes included) and destination. I think the shipping prices may have increased this year; I'll check. Of course, foreign shipping is substantially higher, ranging up to $20 to Australia or Mexico or Canada (don't ask me why Canada is so much more expensive than Australia).
I've traditionally priced the tapes at $20/each and will continue to do so. (I may bump the cost to $25/each for foreign destinations because of the shipping cost to those places.)
Once I get the tapes, I will post notice here and RSF and you can email me at edew@olagrande.net. I will send you my address. You send me a check for the amount, plus the usual self-addressed self-adhesive mailing label. (Make it a big one, please, not those return address sized labels.)
I'll send them as I get the orders. That's good with the post office because they don't like me walking into the post office with 40 boxes to ship.
If you want to help Peter G, please send a separate check to me for that amount and a note concerning that. I send Peter G cash because the last time (many years ago) I sent him a cashier's check, the Swedish bank took 40% or so of it. I'll send him the money plus note for well-wishes and such from you. If you feel you've been tapped out for charitable contributions since the 9/11, feel guilt-free to not offer any donations.
