    More Interesting JOs Info

Yes the same parent had some more time on their hands and came up with the following spreadsheet based on final results.

Please remember this is for entertainment purposes only and do not try this at home!

The ranking of the divisions is absolutely fascinating.

Any way you could do that for Division 1 as well? (Or teach someone to)

I have a hunch if you 'cut and paste' div 1 results to the spreadsheet the same info should be avaiable(?).

If you do get that done post it here for us to see.

Texas results are formatted in such a way that I'd have to split apart the division and place of the fencers manually, and I don't want to do that.

So I did 2004 Div1 men's foil results instead. I don't know how accurate this is statistically, but I used the same method as dekko.

Ignore columns J-L, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them.

    JIC...

Texas has 5 divisions. The table developed in the spreadsheet I posted uses division information not by state. From that perspective the same could be done for Florida, New York, Cali and a couple of others.

Also, I wish I could take credit for developing the table and info but I can not. A parent of a fencer in my club developed this and I thought fnet folks might get a kick out of the info compiled. On a side note, I guess the format here could be used by some interested to compile info on results for any of the D1 events, or even used for local use.

I did find your list interesting how the average place for Metro Division is 1.3333. I wonder if Dan and Jon ever get tired of beating up on each other in these gold medal bouts.
