I doubt Leon Paul will say either. I am sure that if you contacted LP, they might sell to you in the amounts you might want? |

| I found this http://www.lessemf.com/fabric.html
These people sent me a set of samples and the flectron or the zelt fabric looked a lot like the LP stuff (the other looked like the triplette stuff).

I found them on a google search and ordered the sampler plate. I got some cool stuff.

Application Note: FlecTron fabric is not recommended for applications where laundering or dry cleaning will be needed. Material will tarnish with exposure to liquids and skin oils.
| Or FlecTron-N: Quote: |
This material is not intended for direct contact with skin. Protective gloves are recommended when handling this material.
| Zelt seems reasonable for the purpose.

| Nickel From the rest of their literature, the disclaimer is because of the nickel added to the coating to make it more durable and corrosion resistant. It is stated that the nickel is a common source of skin irritation. It seemed to me to be more disclaimer than serious warning. Besides who wears their lame directly against their skin.
Just checking the samples which are still in my tote.
The Flektron is the dead-ringer for the LP lame. Very lightweight but tear resistant.
The Flektron-N is a dead ringer for the triplette fabric. The Zelt is very similar in color and surface, but has a more taffeta like hand to it.

Many uses! Sandwich it between your bedsheets, line a vest, cover your microwave oven, computer monitor or keyboard, stereo, light cords, circuit box, vacuum cleaner, make a hat, lampshade, window drapes, etc, etc. |

Shlep | Shlep,
You are just too cool!
I had a guy that told me of this stuff, named it to me, I asked him to send me the web site and of course he never did. You just made my day/week/month!
I have to buy lame material in europe for patches and such, now just might have found a supplier here in the US. Thanks a million!

If you mean both companies lightweight lame material, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I was told by somebody at one of the two companies(not sure which) that the lame material they used was the same.

| The sample I'm getting is the Shieldit Super....the Zelt was felt to be too fragile for our purposes. |

I did a little destructive testing here. I wasn't able to get my ball point pen (non-pointy end) through the sample, but I was able to put my letter opener through it fairly simply.
More on this later.
