    Mix and Match

I need to create a sword for use on stage, and I was wondering if it was possible to mount an epee blade on a sabre gaurd and grip, or vice cersa. Please help!

Absolutely....I do it all the time for SwordPlay....it's called a Stage Sabre. The use epee blades because they're big enough to be visible, and they take the pounding better than a foil or sabre blade. The blade is mounted with the top facing the sides, not the way an epee blade is normally mounted.

Drop me a PM if you wanna buy one.

    Jack,

Yes - Just like Purple says, mounting an epee blade to a sabre (or even foil) bell is fairly standard practice for stage weapons. The epee blade is more visable and provides a good sound when doing the stage fighting.

You can purchase the individual parts, or get a stage weapon at the fencing.net shop: http://shop.fencing.net/category_s/87.htm

    Cheers,
    Craig
