Sierra Nevada Open

Just got conformaiton that the SNO has been cancelled with no reschedule date. It is dissapointing for it was a well attended and important event for the north coast area. I had hope to try and put together something instead albeit smaller but with such short notice i dont think that is going to happen. if anything changes i will make sure to post it

That really sucks! I love that event. It is the only event I consistently do well in. Any idea why the event was cancelled? I had heard some rumor about the venue, but the date has been fixed for many months. There has to be some place in Chico available.

i have a venue that is about the size of DFA that i have offered but was not taken up on it. Im not really sure why it is being cancelled. maybe if everyone contacts chico creek maybe theyll change their mind!

A space the size of DFA would not suffice for a section-sized event. You will be expecting men's (or mixed) events in the 60s for foil and epee and 20s in the women's, and 30s/15s for saber. And, if you plan to do veteran events, that'll add another 15 for each weapon. By the end of the day, well, you won't be able to finish the events by the end of the day.

I believe PCS has guidelines on minimum sizes. If not, they should.

Too bad, I have it where good events are canceled, regardless of the reason!
