| 800N Material Does anyone know if it's possible to buy swatches of the 800N material used in the Uhlmann FIE jackets? After about 4 years of rubbing against my lame, the, material on my FIE jacket has developed some holes. If I could get a hold of some replacement material, I could get a tailor to replace the panel rather than spending $200 on a new jacket.
Or is the only option to cannibalize an old FIE uniform?
Thanks,
Dan |

| I believe that if you patch it, it;'s no longer FIE because you've changed it...someone check me on this...I'm fuzzy. |

| I'd email info@uhlmann-fechtsport.de and ask them if they can fix it for you... |

| Surely if you get the tailor to replace a whole panel, rather than just put a panel over the hole, it'll be as good as (if not better!) than new? The only problem will be finding the 800N material.
The reason I think it'll be acceptable is that the jacket design itself isn't FIE certified, just the material used. AFAIK |

Repairing the jacket is not an issue....UNLESS he tries to go to an FIE event...then it probably won't fly.
Look up innifa.com They make 800N material for LP and a few others (same stuff I'm putting in my gloves) |
