| Wow... Just looking at the Epee numbers... 93!!! And there are still a bunch of people missing from the lists... I just hope they have the space for us all. (strips, refs, etc.) |

| We have refs, we have strips and we have lots of space for fencers to spread out if we have to double flight pools
At the moment we have 13ish refs. and lots of strips. There will prob be strips available for people to warm up who aren't fencing. We are only using rated refs and there will be no self reffed pools |

Flighting this monster of a tournament <*shudder*>... We'll be there all day as it is... (Which I don't mind, since I have to stay overnight anyways)
I really shouldn't say anything. Last year's event was handled very well. One reason why I can't wait to come back this year. |

| Thanks Fechter1, and we hope this year it'll go better. We're really pulling out all the stops!
We have refs coming in from all over the East Coast and elsewhere so far confirmed are: Wes Glon, Greg Dilworth, Jun Liang, Charles Green, Rob Del Gaizo, Jeff Snider, Judith Offerle, Larry Pinkus, Bruce Heidebrecht, Lewis Sloter, Jim Adams and there are a few more probables who are very highly rated.
We are really comited this year to no fencers having to ref. So yes Peach that does mean no self reffed pools
We are also commited to people getting out of there before midnight . Actually, it won't be that bad at most it'll be a double flight and a full DE of 128 if we get more then 128 in Epee.....well I'm meet managing the other day |

| You should come fence! : ) Spectators are more then welcome though
Epee looks like the first round of DE's might be the round of 256, currently there are 126 people registered
Foil is also looking very strong with 98 fencers registered, it is currently an A2/B3 3 more fencers rated B or above will make it an A3 though
Sabre has now grown to 50 fencers and womens foil and epee are looking nice as well. Women's foil based on preregistrations is an A2 tournament
Looking forward to seeing everyone there |

| There are no more free A spots in any weapon. There are now 5 A's in mens sabre and foil and 17 in Epee
As it currently stands womens sabre will be a B tournament (there are people who haven't registered who have said they are coming) all other events will be A tournaments, assuming that people who are pre-registered show up |

| equipment check There will be an armorer on sight. I believe we are doing mask checks and body cords? Earlier is better, as avoiding a crunch as people check in is useful as well |

(trying to gauge how long it would take the armorers to check 150+ masks, 300+ body cords Saturday morning, plus whatever foil/sabre fencers decide they HAVE to get their equipment checked out at that time...)
For that matter, when will the site be open?
Gonna be a looooong day... Currently 139 registered for the Epee... And still people who haven't prereg'd... |

| seak,
I'm hoping you guys had some luck finding some more referees?
If you haven't your hope of no self reffed pools is either going to go out the window, or you're going to have some very tired referees by the end of saturday (never mind on sunday)...
you've got at least 21 pools of epee, which means with 13 refs, most are doing two pools... and you've got women's foil starting two hours later needing 7 referees... thats a hell of a crunch.
also, how many strips fit in this venue? (I've never seen it)
and more importantly, how many are being set up?
curiously, how many grounded strips?
thanks... and good luck...

| we have some more refs (15ish maybe more not sure of final count) but epee will be double flighted, as the 2nd flight shouldn't take up all of the avialable strips or refs we will prob start women's foil then. I am meet managing sunday though so I will be leaving the orgnazing and ref management in other hands for the day and fencing in the women's foil. Quote:

| A lot and we are setting up 21ish we have space for more strips but this allows for lots of room for warm - ups etc. Also that's how many scoring machines we could get our hands on Quote:

thanks... and good luck... | Grounded strips whaaa? Seriously we tried but the division doesn't own any that are usuable and transportable. Absolute doesn't have any they could rent us. I apologize in advance to the epee fencers . We will try again for next year
and thank's it should be good, you all should come down from new england : ) |

| I think we should be able to get out of there Saturday in a decent time. Last year we ran mixed epee and foil side by side with fewer refs and fewer strips and still made it out by 7ish. It wasn't quite as large (90+ in epee, 50+ in foil), but it wasn't small either |
