    photos from the nor'easter open

Not sure if anyone who posts here was at the northeast div's Nor'easter Open this past weekend, but I uploaded some shots onto flickr that I took while I was there.

Sadly, I couldn't fence because of a case of bronchitis.

I wanted to share because there's some pretty good shots in there, and it was the first time I got to use the XT at a tournament (before, I was using the first generation digital rebel). The difference in processing speed was fantastic. The slow processing speed (how long it takes the camera to write from the memory to the card) has been my major gripe about the first gen drebel (I saved up awhile to be able to afford it). Ten to fifteen seconds is FOREVER in a bout and missing those shots while waiting for the buffer to clear was torture.

I no longer have that torture to contend with and that makes me happy.

Anyway, my thanks to the fencers for their fencing.

Beautiful photos! Great ones of the PFC tourney, too. Thanks for capturing these.

Nice lunge! Bent arm in the attack, though....

Well... it looks like he's fencing Rod... and Rod and Foil mix like oil and water... so some crazy stuff tends to happen...
