Old treads listed high?

Hi!

Often I see threads which have not been posted on for a long time getting listed too high up. Also, they are listed with the "new posts" icon, when I have read the latest post. I use FireFox, and check "remember me". Why is this so? What can be done about it?

One such thread is "which jokes should be allowed".

Have a nice time!

That thread is a Poll. Every time somebody votes on a poll it bumps up to the top. It looks new. However, it will not be shown on the board homepage as being the most recent post. I would assume all the threads you are referring to have polls, if not then there is another problem.
